In the hospitality industry, cuisine is often viewed as just another service. For us at Hotel Majorca, starting today, it becomes a statement.
There comes a time when we must pause and ask ourselves: what are we truly offering our guests?
We asked ourselves this question, and the answer led to a change, a true silent revolution in our kitchens. We decided to put an end to standardization and to return to the essentials.
We have chosen to start cooking in tune with the rhythm of the earth, not that of industry.
To do so, we have made a pact with those who defend the earth and cultivate it with respect: the Heretics.
Who are they? They are producers, farmers, and ranchers who have chosen to go against the grain. People who reject intensive farming methods to embrace a slower pace, one dictated by nature, the sun, and the seasons.
What does this mean for you when you sit down at our table?
- Certified Origin: We will begin offering dishes made with ingredients that come with a certificate of origin. We’ll be able to tell you where they come from, who grew them, and how.
- Respect for the Seasons: You won’t find everything, all the time. You’ll find only what nature offers at that very moment, at the peak of its flavor and nutritional value.
- Ethics and Taste: A good dish shouldn’t just be a treat for the palate—it should also be good for the environment and for the people who make it.
Our new offerings will take you on a journey: a rediscovery of forgotten flavors, authentic textures, and food that nourishes the body and respects the planet. We are what we eat, and we want to help you become the best version of yourself.
Is this a bold choice for a hotel? Perhaps.
Is it a “heretical” choice? Absolutely.
But we’re convinced that, at the very first bite, you’ll understand why it was worth it.
We look forward to welcoming you to savor this revolution.
With love (and taste),
Nancy Masi and the entire Hotel Majorca Team
